Omrit, cont’d.

Among the interesting ruins at Omrit are several composite capitals. These are a combination of Corinthians and Ionic orders.

Note the beautiful acanthus leaves.

Omrit was destroyed by earthquakes in the 4th and 8th centuries AD.
